  • Replacement Ramp Door Spring Kit for 85 lb Horse Trailer Door
  • We have both single and dual ramp spring sets and form my understanding it has more to do with the weight capacity than anything else. For your 85 lb ramp we have the Single Spring # 362SA5 that fits a 5' wide enclosed trailer. Aside from that I recommend choosing your door width and then a spring weight rating similar to how heavy a door you have from our linked selection.

  • Replacement Ramp Springs for Horse Trailer
  • Horse trailers are enclosed, but they usually don't use the enclosed trailer ramp springs for the safety of the horses. They use smaller versions of our heavy-duty ramp springs. Unfortunately, we only carry the heavy-duty versions at this time, meant for heavy-duty steel ramps like those on equipment trailers or car haulers.

  • Trailer Ramp Spring Recommendation for Enclosed Trailer with 5 foot Wide Ramp
  • We have the enclosed trailer ramp spring part # 362SW61 that is 67 inches long which would work well for you and can be shortened to your desired length while retaining the 120 lb capacity. Your other option is to use # 362SA5 which has an 85 lb capacity and is 54 inches wide. This will install above the ramp door opening and the steel cable will help lift the door.

  • Would Ramp Hinges PLR1902 Work as Replacement for H and H Trailer
  • The ramp hinges part # PLR1902 don't have a specific weight rating, but I can tell you that by the sheer size of these things and their steel constructions that three of them would be just fine for a 4,000 lb rated ramp.

  • Can TRC Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring Be Cut Down
  • An Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring, like part # 362SA4, can be cut down to fit 23-3/4" to 43-3/8" doors. Ramp Spring # 362SA5 can fit 31-5/8" to 55-1/2" inch doors. They are customizable to fit the space available in your trailer as well as the door size so for your door I recommend # 362SA5. These springs are unique in that they are not the high torsion springs that require professional assistance for installation. They are self adjusting.

  • Replacement Springs for Ramp Door on Continental Cargo Enclosed Trailer
  • I believe you're referring to the # RS16933LH spring, is that correct? These springs aren't meant for an enclosed trailer with a ramp door, they're meant for the very heavy steel ramps you'd typically see on the back of a trailer used to haul heavy equipment like bulldozers. Your best bet would be to use a ramp spring like what you're already using, like part # ERS120D81. Installation of springs like these can be extremely dangerous, due to the tension stored in the spring. If you aren't...

  • Measuring Ramp Door Weight For Replacement Ramp Door Spring
  • In order to properly weigh your door to figure out the correct spring you only need to find the weight when the ramp door is down. Assuming you weighed your door without spring assist, you can use the 74 lb measurement. Typically, you use a scale and place a block of wood or something similar on the scale and rest your ramp on the block to get this measurement. You do not need to know or estimate the total weight of the door to choose a replacement spring. Based on the weight and the door...

  • Replacement Torsion Spring for 1990s Carson Enclosed UtilityTrailer
  • To select a replacement torsion spring for your enclosed trailer's rear ramp door you will want to match up the spring dimensions and also confirm the weight of the ramp door. There is no way to look up the original part but contacting Carson with the trailer VIN might be enough for them to tell you something that will help you select the correct new spring. The item you mentioned, part # 362SA6, has a weight capacity of 120-lbs and overall it is 67-inches. Width can be adjusted from...

  • Finding The Correct Ramp Door Hinge For A 2011 12' x 6' Mirage Cargo Trailer
  • It is quite possible that the # PLR1902 hinge will be correct for your 2011 12x6 Mirage cargo trailer. These hinges are not custom fitted, so generally we like to get either measurements or pictures of the current hinge in order to recommend a replacement. That being said, this hinge is pretty much universal, and it is made for use with a ramp door. It is 8-2/16" long overall with a 4" long bracket. If you can measure out the current hinges this will tell us what will fit and what wont.
